By the end of this unit, pupils will be able to describe the clothes of one of the main characters from the tale of Aladdin. |
Stages for achieving the desired outcome:
- Pupils will learn the names of the colours through two simple matching games.
- Pupils will learn the names of clothes through a simple matching game.
- Pupils will dress a character doll from the story with the help of a sentence bank.
- Pupils will send their doll to a doll gallery. In order to do this, they will need to complete a form with their personal details.
- Pupils will choose a different doll from the gallery and choose words from a word bank to describe it.

Assessment
At the end of task 1, the pupils will fill in a checklist describing the colours they have learned.
The feedback form for this checklist will be saved for comparison with the same checklist administered at the end of the unit. This way, both the teachers and the pupils will be able to see the pupils' progress.
At the end of the unit, the pupils will fill in a rubric assessing their work in the unit.
