Task Description Pupils will use word banks to dress Aladdin or Jasmine. Pupils will complete a form with personal details and submit their Aladdin or Jasmine to a gallery.
Desired Task Outcome Pupils will be able to read simple sentences describing clothing. They will be able to complete a form and submit it to a gallery.

Task Stages

In this task, pupils apply their knowledge of names of colours and clothing. Pupils have to decide who they want to dress, Aladdin or Jasmine.
  • Pupils are aware of the learning objectives.
Pupils decide how they want to dress the character. They will use the vocabulary that they studied in the previous tasks and choose different sentences from a table. Every time they choose a sentence, the clothes on the character changes.
  • Pupils build on their prior language and world knowledge.
  • Pupils have the opportunity to choose texts and tasks according to individual preferences.
When the pupils are satisfied with how they have dressed their character, they will complete a form with their personal details in order to submit their character to the gallery.
  • Materials are presented in a variety of text types and media, and are used for different purposes
