Task Stages

  Learning, Teaching and Assessment Principles
In the previous task, pupils dressed Aladdin or Jasmine by choosing words from a word bank.In this task, the pupils will decide if they want to describe Aladdin or Jasmine. They will be presented with a randomly chosen doll from the Aladdin or Jasmine galleries (depending on their choice) dressed by another pupil in the previous task. Pupils will then try to dress another doll in the same way as the doll they are describing.Pupils will see the same sentence banks that they had in the previous task in order to describe and recreate the character that they have chosen.
  • Pupils are aware of the learning objectives.
  • Pupils have the opportunity to choose texts and tasks according to individual preferences.
  • Pupils build on their prior language and world knowledge.
Pupils will now see the character that they have recreated and compare it to the one that they were given to describe.
  • Tasks combine focus on form with meaningful content.
When they have described the doll accurately, the pupils see a feedback page with the description of the character.
  • · Pupils analyse and reflect on their learning.
