Pre-task: Pupils will need to be aware of how personal interests affect choosing a holiday. Pupils could talk about where they would like to go on holiday and give reasons for their choice. Pupils will need to have some basic general knowledge about places around the world in order to match the couples.
  • Teachers activate and build on pupils' background knowledge.
After the pupils have matched the couples to the holiday destinations, they will have to choose their favorite holiday destination in order to build a web page that will advertise their holiday.
  • Task is transparent to pupil in terms of goals and process.
