  Learning, Teaching and Assessment Principles
Pupils will choose the holiday that they want to write about and advertise it on a web page.
  • Teachers encourage pupil autonomy.Activate and build on pupils' background knowledge.
  • Teachers allow pupils to make choices.
It is important that pupils study the web page template before they access the Internet sites so that they understand what information they need to find.
  • Teachers help pupils become aware of appropriate learning stategies.
Pupils will surf the sites that are appropriate for the country they have chosen. In order to do this effectively, they will need to know:
  1. How to enter a site address
  2. How to save or copy pictures
  3. How to use a list to make a choice within a site
  4. How to copy a URL
Technical help will be available for all these activities throughout the task.
  • Teachers stimulate pupils to broaden their horizons through the use of English.

  • Materials serve as resources for projects.

  • Materials stimulate pupils to seek further information.
Pupils will complete the web page template with information they have found from the site. The template has to be completed and submitted in one session. This means that the pupils should write all the information in a Word document as they surf the sites in order to complete the template later. All pictures should be saved on the pupil's computer and the URL of the picture's site should be copied.
Technical help is available for all these activities.

Pupils will submit their site to a holiday page gallery.
