Pre-task: Pupils should be encouraged to read the story for this level . The teacher can ask them questions about the feelings of Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf, the grandmother and the hunter at various stages of the story.
  • Pupils build on their prior language and world knowledge.Pupils have opportunities to develop independent reading habits.
Pupils will read short sentences about the story. They will also see pictures that illustrate the meaning of these sentences.
  • Teachers create a supportive environment, one that allows pupils to take risks, to make errors and experiment with the language.
Pupils will be asked about the feeling of one character mentioned in the sentence. They can see three adjectives that describe feelings. They have to click on the right adjective
  • Pupils feel challenged within the range of their possible performance.
Pupils will get immediate reinforcement if they match the correct adjective.
  • Feedback is based on a collection of evidence from a variety of sources.
