Pupils will compare these stories using sentences containing adjectives. They will also identify adjectives in sentences from the stories and then use adjectives to describe people and things from the stories.
2 Hot, Tasty Pizza Pupils will learn some of the conventions and elements of online recipe sites and will be able to make comparisons between these sites. 2 lessons Pupils will learn how to search a typical recipe site with the help of a mock recipe site.
They will then go on and use the concepts they learned to compare real recipe sites..
3 Little Red Riding Hood's Food Basket Pupils will access authentic recipe sites to find specific information. 1 lesson Pupils access recipe sites in a scavenger hunt and become familiar with the structure of authentic multicultural recipe sites.
4 My Family's Recipe Pupils will be able to find a recipe in an online recipe site and be able to submit their recipe to a recipe database. 1 lesson Pupils will find a recipe at an Internet recipe site for a traditional dish eaten by their own family. Pupils will submit this recipe to a database including information about the occasion at which this dish is eaten.

Assessment
At the end of the unit, pupils will complete a rubric assessing their work in the unit.
